When Joseph shared his prophetic dreams, his brothers' jealousy intensified to the point of plotting his murder before ultimately selling him into slavery. This generational cycle of favoritism and resulting envy demonstrates how toxic emotions can cloud judgment and destroy relationships. However, we have a choice in how we respond to feeling overlooked - we can identify areas where envy exists, confess these feelings to God, and deliberately act in love toward those we might resent.
