Many people misunderstand Jesus because they approach Him with incomplete information, just like the crowd in John 6 who sought Him only for physical bread after the feeding miracle. They wanted a provider, not a savior - someone to improve their lives without requiring surrender. Jesus confronted this by declaring He is the bread of life, offering not just benefits but Himself as the ultimate source of satisfaction. We often make the same mistake, treating Jesus as one option among many rather than the exclusive source of life. True faith means ongoing dependence on Christ, not just seeking what He can provide.
